preparations galore

people seem surprised when they see matt and me. we are just 1 week away from the wedding and apparently seem 'so calm!' everytime i hear that, i freak out trying to think of anything we may have overlooked. i definately can't declare that we are on top of all the preparations, but we like to keep it in perspective: we're getting married. in a week we will be surrounded by loved ones who have poured so much into our lives. in a week we will vow before God and man our love and life commitment to one another.

...and then 42 hours later we will be on a plane, departing for Homer Alaska.

Where we are going/What will we be doing?

Lindsay and I have begun getting many questions about where we are going and what we will be doing for our mission trip after the wedding. We are going to be heading to Homer, Alaska to attend a YWAM DTS. (Youth With A Mission, Discipleship Training School) While at the school we will have the opportunity to study the bible more in depth, build on our own relationship with God, and learn the skills to go out and share God's message with others. We will be gone from January 6th until sometime at the end of May. I have placed some web site information on YWAM Arctic Mercy and Homer, Alaska at the bottom. We would like to thank you all for your prayers and support as we prepare for our wedding and prepare to head out for Alaska.
